Paint Out
Magnuson Park offers artists a dazzling array of outdoor vistas for artists to capture. Painters create images of shorelines, views of mountains, wooded areas, wetlands, and boats and watercraft.
Artists set up outdoors to capture the surrounding landscape en plein air, painting directly from life throughout the day. As the event unfolded, freshly completed pieces—still wet from the easel—were brought indoors for a pop-up “Wet Works” display, offering visitors a rare chance to view and purchase artwork created just moments before.
Come watch the process, meet the artists, and experience the energy of painting in the open air.
The Annual Plein Air Magnuson Park: Paint Out will return in 2026. Date TBA. Join us for a day of painting in the park, followed by a wet works display in the Officer’s Club in Building 30 West.
